Florida's The Mahaffey Welcomes SHEN YUN Today, 5/5

Shen Yun returns to the Bay area at The Mahaffey today, May 5 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. After a successful sold-out run in Tampa earlier this year, Shen Yun Performing Arts presents classical Chinese dance and music in a gloriously colorful and exhilarating show. More than 100 of the world's foremost classically trained dancers, choreographers and musicians seek to revive Chinese culture while providing an experience of sublime beauty.

Choreography ranges from grand imperial processions to legions of thunderous drums, with gorgeously costumed dancers moving in stunning synchronized patterns. Spectacular visuals take you to another world, with blossoming landscapes and celestial palaces appearing on beautiful animated backdrops. Groundbreaking music seamlessly combines the best of the East and West, giving each dance an unmistakable flair. Ancient legends of virtue and modern tales of courage are brought to life by dozens of dances and songs, making for one extraordinary, uplifting and unforgettable experience.
